Portraits in motion

This collection of Portraits In Motion, is a blend of abstract and frozen moments using mixed media to show emotion and form translated through dance. In some, long exposures are used to create photographs of fluid movement giving the appearance of paintings. The compositions develop through dancers self expression, enhancing the shapes formed by the human body. Dance is a universal language, a means of communicating when words can not express or describe a feeling or it can be a way to escape life's realities. Photographing these moments allows us to hold on to those feelings for a little bit longer.
